Sam Hughes is a licensed physical therapist working in British Columbia, Canada. She has a Masters degree from the University of Alberta, Canada, and extensive advanced certification in women’s, men’s, and pelvic floor health. She has been the spokesperson for various prostate support groups and conferences.

After conducting research in the area of incontinence post-prostate cancer surgery, Sam Hughes implemented the prostate cancer surgery physical therapy program at the Jim Pattison Outpatient Clinic, one of British Columbia’s largest public bladder clinics. She is constantly creating opportunities to educate the public and health professionals about pelvic floor physical therapy, regularly giving public presentations and speaking at medical meetings. She has created various study groups among her peers and has provided mentorship to new pelvic floor physical therapists.
